Twilight Whispers of the Bosphorus
A poetic dance of Istanbul's twilight, where history and modern light meet on the Bosphorus.
Upon the Bosphorus’ tide, under the cloak of night,
Glimmers the pulse of Istanbul, a city alight.
The river, a darkened mirror, reflects an urban glow,
Where the dance of ancient currents, with modernity flow.
The silhouette of history, upon the hill does rest,
Minarets reaching skyward, in twilight are dressed.
The waters whisper stories, of emperors and the sea,
Of mariners and poets, of you and of me.
Each wave that laps the shore, a story it unfurls,
Of sultans’ grand ambitions, of merchants, boys, and girls.
A cityscape so vibrant, yet veiled in mystery,
The Bosphorus, in silence, conveys eternity.
Istanbul's heart beats fervent, through the Bosphorus' vein,
Its rhythm is of ages, of joy, and of pain.
In this nocturnal portrait, where day's echo retreats,
Lies the timeless bridge between two continents’ heartbeats.
